Jesus told Faustina: "...by saying the chaplet you are bringing mankind closer to Me."
Jesus instructed St. Faustina to make a Novena to the Divine Mercy by praying the Divine Mercy Chaplet - beginning Good Friday through Saturday of Holy Week - for the following intentions.
Good Friday - All mankind, especially sinners
Holy Saturday - Priests and religious
Easter Sunday - Devout and faithful souls
Easter Monday - Those who do not believe in God
Easter Tuesday - Those who have separated themselves from the Church
Easter Wednesday - Meek and humble souls and little children
Easter Thursday - Those who venerate and glorify My Mercy
Easter Friday - Those who are detained in Purgatory
"...that they may draw...strength and refreshment and whatever grace they need in the hardships of life, and especially at the hour of death." (Jesus to Sr. Faustina: Diary 1209-1228)
