I always knew that working with children was my calling. My passion lies with early childhood education because I feel that it is the beginning of a child’s educational journey and nothing is more important than setting an exceptional example in the learning experience, for each child!
I was born and raised in Louisville KY, where I am the youngest of two children. I graduated from Fern Creek Traditional High School in 1999 and continued my education at Sullivan University to earn my Associates in Early Childhood Education. After substitute teaching, organizing adult-learning, and teaching Pre-K for many years, I later returned to Indiana Wesleyan University to earn a Bachelors of Science in Business Management and a Masters of Science in Human Resource Management. Since then, I have continued my career in preschool and childcare management, working in multiple school districts.
I now call Corydon, IN home, where I live with my husband Jim and our son, Ethan. We also have three dogs, two cats, and two bunnies. In our spare time, we are huge pet adoption advocates and promote animal care. I also spend time advocating against child abuse in Harrison County. We are also a very musical family and love to sing, dance, and be silly!
"It is my pleasure to serve with a community that offers a delivery of high quality early childhoodeducation in a safe, warm, and nurturing environment. I will lead to develop caring, respectful, and responsive relationships with the children by partnering with families, the community, and parishioners to support the growth and development of St. John Paul’s II Preschool & Child Care".
