St. Joe the Worker is a group that was started to assist parishioners who need a little help with household maintenance and yard work. The St. Joseph the Worker program realizes that at times our own parishioners need help. It might be an older parishioner who can no longer keep up his/her yard; it might be someone experiencing an illness that needs a job done to help them cope with their changing life. Whatever the need, the St. Joseph the Worker Crew helps them get their life back in order. Historically the group completes two to three tasks a year but would like that number to increase.
Car Service Now Offered
St. Joe the Worker is happy to announce the launch of a basic car service program. We know how important safe and reliable transportation is and want to help. We also know that funds are often tight and you might not be able to afford the much needed service for your car. So, if you are a registered parishioner with financial hardship or on a fixed income and your car’s oil needs changed, tires need rotated, brakes need attention or it is making noises that you are not sure of and need to know what is causing them; this program could be for you. This voucher will be good for a safety inspection, routine maintenance or diagnostics performed at Advanced Auto Service located at 105 S. Indiana Ave in Sellersburg and owned by parishioner, Greg Sills. Once you have the voucher, all you need to do is schedule an appointment at Advanced Auto Service and they will take care of the rest. Call the St. Paul campus and ask for Barbara at the church office @ (812) 246-3522 with questions or times to pick up vouchers. All we need is your name and license number of the car that needs the service.
