The primary objective of our SVdP conference is to provide its members with opportunities for spiritual growth, fellowship and to perform person-to-person service to people in need. The funding for our conference is provided by the generosity of our St. JPII parishioners via direct contributions and/or a share of the weekly Parish Out Reach Collections. Our conference members regularly meet once a month. Our ministry involves meeting with people living within the Conference boundaries (Clark County) in their homes who have requested our assistance.
We pray with them and assist in the payment of rent and utilities, give out gift cards when food or gas for transportation is needed and issue vouchers to SVdP stores. We also educate neighbors in need about other resources that are available in the community such as the Township Trustee, food pantries, etc. Conference members share in the monitoring of the conference phone help-line, and coordination/participation in home visits.

Time Commitment: 2 hours every month plus home visit time, if needed.
